[attr="class","fly"] Sable had peeked at all the people going crazy, and being loud. Honestly, it really was just not her style. She wasn't into the whole socializing thing, and in the end this whole thing was just super crazy. She'd rather sort it all out herself rather then dragging in random people to make it even more complicated. Her and Beserker would deal with this themselves. So, she went to the place that she seemed to not find anyone. The Archery range. It wasn't like it was this big amazing place, but it was quiet which is what she was looking for.
Sitting down, she wished she had a wash cloth to put on her head. She was really dizzy and overwhelmed, as soon as she came here, she knew it'd be a big mistake. There was no way for her to be able to do this. Not a chance. Just being here gave her a head ache. Thinking about it, all she wanted to do was play with some knives in her hands it was always the most calming technique for her. But those habits had to stop, they were strange and Sable wasn't strange.
She says, sitting inside of a computer program desperately trying to bring magic back to the world, something that she didn't even knew existed until really recently. Something else that was bothering her was the fact that her brother is just.. not here. Did something go wrong? Why wasn't he around? Maybe it'd be better if she got friends in this, someone to work with. Since her brother wasn't here.. maybe it'd be best for her to make friends. But that's not something she'd been able to do all her life.
The final thing that was really getting to her was well, her servant. Apparently this whole thing was based on personality. That meant her servant fit her best.. and she got Berserker. Did that mean she was insane. Sighing, she hoped to god that wasn't true. Placing her face against the cool wall of the building she wondered if it was appropriate to cry. It was as Fred made his way out of the meeting that he caught a glimpse of yet another small girl walking the halls. That was already two more actual children than he had expected to see in this place, and one was...well, she didn't seem to quite grasp where she was. She was also still in the meeting, so he'd leave that alone for now. This one seemed to be a bit more of a loner as they made their way out of the building. Fred was naturally following, but pretty easily in such a way that it wasn't obvious. Espionage and stealth was part of his training, after all.
The girl eventually made her way into the archery range, and he let himself stay by the entrance until she seemed to settle herself down. She was quiet, likely doing a lot of thinking, and eventually rested her head against the wall. That was...an odd choice, but may be her head hurt. May be she just wanted to nap. It was difficult to say right off the bat, but he figured he could give her a hand.
"Hey, mind if I join you?" he asked casually, keeping a decent distance between the two to prove he would respect her space if she wanted. There wasn't much point in being pushy about it, especially not with a kid, and he'd just take things one step at a time.
"There something bothering you that you wanna talk about?" he added, trying to show he was concerned and taking a shot in the dark at why she was out here. It's certainly a quiet place to think with so few people here, so may be they're trying to sort out the details of this mess, or something more personal. He didn't know; he was just hoping she'd respond.

[attr="class","fly"] Sable jumped a bit when a voice surprised her. She hadn't noticed anyone following her, but apparently it had. She looked at the man, he was bald and a lot taller then herself. Her face flushed, embarrassed unsure on how communication worked with others at all. She also was pretty sure everyone here was her enemy right? taking one of her braids and twirling it nervously in her hand she stuttered out. "I-I-I Supp-pose n-not." She silently cursed herself for stuttering, how silly was she being for that? He was just another person, and her servant would protect her if he ended up being dangerous... right?
She scooted over, emphasizing the fact that he could sit down before thinking about his other question. Her face flushed once again and she looked down at her knees and watched them rub against each other nervously. "I mean, I think I'm alright.. to be honest I was kind of thrown into this without really knowing what was going on and well.. it's just.. really overwhelming you know?" She blushed, hoping she didn't sound really stupid.
"But maybe I'm being over dramatic.." She said, once again twirling her hair while her face still looking at her knees. As much as she told herself she shouldn't be acting so awkward she really couldn't help it, she was nervous and scared. Talking to people was a hard task for her, and this is such a bad situation. Fred nodded in acknowledgment to the acceptance of his offer, sitting down near the girl but not directly next to her. He let himself lean back and turn his head to watch her as she continued her explanation. The answer didn't really surprise him all that much; this was a strange and crazy thing for a lot of people. There were quite a few adults who didn't even fully understand the war they had gotten themselves into, let alone the confusion that would be in store for a kid. Add onto that the mass confusion of "Why aren't things working normally" and you have a whole lot of stuff that's really difficult to wrap your head around if you lack a good foundation.
"Nah, I don't think you're being overdramatic." came his casual response to ease her troubled mind. His expression was a relaxed, friendly one that didn't betray any deception or hidden intent, and truth be told he had none. He was dealing with a kid, after all. There wasn't much that he would need to hide to begin with.
"This is a pretty big thing you've gotten involved with, especially for your age, so it's alright to be confused. Heck a lot of us grown-ups are pretty confused about what's going on too, so don't worry about it so much and just take things a little bit at a time," he turned his gaze for a bit out to the rest of the archery range. It kind of reminded him of the shooting range back at work, minus the little stalls for each shooter. While he knew it was basically impossible with the Holy Grail War being what it was, but he kind of hoped he wouldn't actually have to go "Anti-Terrorist" while he was here. It'd make things a little more calming and he wouldn't have to involve his work with his personal time.

[attr="class","fly"] Sometimes Sable forgot how young she was. She'd been taking care of herself ever since she could remember, being reminded that she wasn't all that old honestly eased her mind somehow. The strange baldy was comforting, or maybe it was just because he was one of the few normal people that she had met. She nodded, letting herself absorb his words of comfort.
"It's good to know I'm at least not the only one."
She smiled softly at him. As much as she hated to admit it, feeling normal was a giant comfort to Sable. Especially with her mother calling her weird. She looked at the guy, wondering if he'd be willing to team up with her. But she doubted it, even though he was probably the nicest guy she'd seen so far he's probably some big awesome magician or whatever, and she was just some dumb kid to him.
"I'm not really sure where to go from here though.." She admitted softly with a shrug. "What are you going to do?" She asked curiously, wondering if he'd be willing to tell her. He had come here to comfort her anyway, hadn't he? Fredrik Henning Abels |
