His pale visage seems to be frozen in an almost perpetual, though faint, frown. His hazel/amber gaze is usually either distant or hard. These traits make it clear that he is either none too keen on interaction with others or simply that he has rarely had any such interaction...as well as a number of other implications. As if to accent his already unfriendly but enigmatic appearance, his face is framed with long, silky, raven black hair somewhat unkempt. It seems his canines are a little sharper than normal, however there are no special reasons behind this...apparently.
His build is 'small' in nature. Only 168 cm in height it often surprises others that he has such an affinity for manual labor. His body is very strong, well-built, despite how 'fragile' his body may appear. Athletic is the word to use when describing his physical capabilities, despite the opposite seeming to be of his appearance. Still he is thin and unimpressive---even average in terms of visible muscular features. Granted, perhaps due to his unfortunate blood inheritance, he may even seem oddly feminine in shape at some angles.
Generally he prefers muted colors. Blacks, earthy tans, and other colors of the darker spectrum. Generally he seems somewhat fond of business casual fashion, but tends to dress simply and functionally. It's quite clear that he's unbothered by the idea of wearing a simple black t-shirt and a brown leather jacket with dark jeans at any occasion.

Often as calm as he is reserved, Nijiya possesses quite an off-putting aura. He is usually quite serious; a man of 'all business' and no-nonsense. As a result it's often expected of him to be rather harsh and lacking in patience in various scenarios. That said, he's often more aloof than severe---provided he is around decent company or simply alone. His sanctuary is very much his mind and as such has detached him from the reality known as the 'outside-world' and disconnected him from the common knowledge of 'outside-consciousnesses'.
As far as belief systems go, he's an odd kind of Neutral. He is acutely aware of common 'right' and 'wrong'--but wastes no mental energies on the 'rules of others' should they defy his own internal belief systems. With Kuroishi Nijiya there is 'As things should be' and a 'As things shouldn't be'. Nothing more or less. Not many, that know him well, would be surprised if he completely ignored the rulings of a set of laws simply because he felt they were 'wrong'.
This Kuroishi's fury is something to be cautious of. Should his wrath be triggered it will be relentless and uncaring. There will be no mercy for those whom wrong him or any of whom he may actually concern himself with. (As rare as such a creature would be) Further even in a situation where the likelihood of his victory would be low---one would be foolish to assume that he'd simply back down and leave things be without being convinced that his energy is best spent elsewhere. The unfortunate creature that would tempt his ire is marked for life until the matter is settled, regardless of what harsh requirements may be met in order for it to be settled.
